About Rat Tails Rescue

My name is Maria and I have been keeping rats solidly for 7 years here at Rat Tails. I began breeding back in 2010 and have produced some wonderful rats as pets over the last few years. I have always taken in rescue rats and helped out at rat rescues during this time. However as time has gone on it has become very clear to me that there are many many rats in need of help.

Our mission now is to help as many rats as we can to find safe refuge with us while we look for perfect new homes. We will be working very closely with Tatty Ratties Sanctuary and other local rescues in the area to ensure that as many rats as possible get the help they need.

We need your support to help us help these rats and if you feel you can help in any way please do get in contact!

Doe of the week

Meet Mumma, Mumma was rescued along with 15 other rats back in April. She's shy about being picked up but once out she loves a cuddle. For more information on Mumma please see our adoptions page.

Buck of the week

Meet Storm, Storm was rescued from Kent on Thursday 14th August. He had been living alone in a tiny hamster cage. Storm is currently being looked after by Tatty Ratties Sanctuary in Southend. To find out more about Storm don't hesitate to get in touch!
